Erin P. Blair – B.A., M.A., B.Ed., PLCGS*
Genealogy has been a passion of mine for nearly my entire life. Over the years, I have experimented with numerous software programs, dedicated countless hours to online genealogical research, and built a database of over 20,000 individuals. My research has taken me to graveyards, cemeteries, and archives across Ontario, Quebec, the United Kingdom, and Ireland.
With 33+ years of experience in education, having taught in Ontario, Nunavut, and briefly in the Czech Republic, I recently expanded my own learning by completing a Professional Learning Certificate in Genealogical Studies with the International Institute of Genealogical Studies.
While my primary focus remains on my own genealogical research, I am eager to leverage my teaching experience to help others on their genealogical journey. I offer the following services:
- Guidance on selecting and using the appropriate software programs based on your needs.
- Ensuring you have the necessary computer hardware for genealogical research.
- Advising on DNA genealogical services, having personally used all five major providers.
- Reviewing your current family tree knowledge and creating a plan to advance your research.
- Helping you navigate the learning curve to undertake successful genealogical research.
Occasionally, I am available to take on select research projects, providing 5 to 10 hours of focused genealogical research services. My rate is $65 per hour, with possible additional mileage costs depending on your location. I offer a complimentary initial consultation to review your current knowledge and discuss how I can assist you.
I look forward to helping you explore your family history. Please contact me using the form below and include your phone number and the best times to reach you.
