My grandmother long ago wrote down a brief early history of her ancestors who first arrived to Canada from Scotland. She noted that that they came to Canada in 1802.
Martha’s parents lived at Mount Johnson when Martha was baptized (baptismal records). Her death certificate has her being born in St. John, Quebec (Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu) Later Martha was married at the Beech Ridge Church in the Scotch Settlement. This follows the pattern documented of some Neptune passengers who first went to Mount Johnson then onto the Scotch settlement. It is with this that I believe that John McRae and Catherine McIntosh were passengers aboard the Neptune.
Below are 4 generations of John and Catherine’s descendants. The data has been researched but, if using this material for your purpose, ensure the validity of the data (and please let me know of any inaccuracies).
